Indukern, a global company in the distribution of chemical products and value-added solutions, is now Vidara. The company, part of Ravago Group, believes that this change will bolster its ambition to become a benchmark in the food, aromas, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, and animal nutrition markets in its sector.

After 60 years, it leaves behind its former name, and evolves towards a new journey with a renewed image and moniker. “I am very proud to introduce Vidara to our partners, suppliers and customers. The new name is perfectly in line with our passion and commitment to provide solutions to improve quality of life for people and animals”, says Daniel Díaz-Varela, Managing Director of Vidara. 

The new name, Vidara, is the combination of the Spanish word “Vida” (Life), which refers both to the company’s origins and also its activity and commitment to quality ingredients, and the “ra” suffix taken from Ravago, which it has been a member of since 2021. The green colour chosen also symbolises life and emphasises the connection with nature. “A colour that is associated with health, representing growth and new beginnings,” adds Daniel Diaz-Varela. Finally, the infinity symbol in the first letter conveys interconnectedness between all things.

With over 550 employees, Vidara is now present in Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, India, and China. The company recently acquired Galenicum Special Ingredients—the division of the Spanish pharmaceutical company Galenicum—specialising in nutritional products, ingredients and supplements, sports nutrition, dietary products, and nutraceuticals.
